Results from advertising in safelists, classifieds and free-for-all links are usually dismal. Spend your time exploring other forms of advertising before looking at these.

Although, in general, the response rate to these forms of advertising is bad, there could be certain niches where you could get good value for money, or time.

The key would be to track your ads, so that when you do see a jump in the response rate, you would know where the visitors are coming from.

And, when posting to safelists and FFAs, make sure you use a throw-away email address, and not your main email address.
